Running the business with “One Click”
We had a dream….
Me and my former collegue and friend used to work for the same company. Round that time working for a Telco was booming business ! Specially with the outroll of GPRS/UMTS for mobile phones and ADSL for computers and your “normal” phone lines.
We used to work for Sales..responsible for the big productlines profits. We were innovative, always full of ideas and trying to make exsisting productlines more profitable by suggesting implementing new features which were more and more possible with the new technologies and better accessable for potential consumers because of the increasing speeds.
Eventho we tried to get as many people enthusiastic with our ideas, it somehow never was “the time or the place” to get them as enthusiastic as we were.
So it basically just sticked to ideas and sometimes doing little projects for ourselves to make our work easier (our monthly closing for instance was over with one push on a button..awesome !)
We used to talk till sometimes very late at nite, dreaming our dreams, talking about setting up a business so we could sell our ideas. Creating mobile offices, combining PDA’s with desktops and mobile phones.
When we look back, it’s not even that long ago, maybe a year or two. But, knowing that the US always was and still is at least 6 months ahead, we could learn and research already implemented technologies in the US before those technologies would be implemented in Europe. We could easily take our pick in what would/could work here and what definitely wouldn’t.
By adjusting here and there, we came up with some pretty good ideas !
You can imagine that I was darn proud, that when we left the Telco business to do something else, my collegue called me one day and told me he started his own business ! Now that didn’t just happen overnite. First we tried to pursue our dreams by working for different employers, to see if they were interested in our ideas. For me it worked out a little, and due to circumstances I cant pursue my dreams to the fullest right now. But my collegue he DID IT !
His dreams, his ideas..they all came out and still coming out ! I’m darn proud of him and I just KNOW that he will get there slowly but surely ! Mark my words !

What is LaCitadel ? This website brings you, amongst other things, local news and ads..yes..sounds so simple and “yeah yeah”. But what makes it special is that my collegue and friend did it. And he did it alone..and before you know it he will be doing it with just “one click” somewhere on this planet instead of behind a desk. Update EVERYTHING on his entire site..with just “one click”..so NO on the outside it looks like “your average” website..it’s what’s happening in the background..letting the internet work for you instead of programming all day and all nite ..and this ALL happens with just “one click”…
So if you want to do a little business, trying to get a foot in the door on the dutch/european trade market, get yourself noticed and put an ad on his site, let Alex help you with turning your business into a "one click" business..
